2009 Polo: three-door prices
The new Polo family is complete, for now at least. Just as the first five-door models are delivered to customers, the sportier-looking three-door version has become available to order. The cheapest new Polo is now the three-door 1.2 59bhp S at £9435, while the most expensive is the 1.6 TDI 89bhp SEL at £14,310.
The same trim levels and engine options as the family-frendly five-door are available. Moving up from the base-level S, buyers can choose from Moda, SE and SEL, with air-conditioning-equipped S A/C and Moda A/C cars in-between. Engine choice is wide, with 59 and 69bhp 1.2 and 84bhp 1.4 petrols, and 74 and 89bhp diesel units.
If ordered now, delivery of three-door Polos is scheduled for January 2010. For more information on the new Polo click here; the full PDF price list which includes specification and option pricing can be downloaded from this link.
Any confirmation that the 1.2 TSi with the DSG auto ‘box will be coming to the UK and if so… when?
I believe it is, and initial reports suggested ‘the New Year’, so I’m guessing around January.
Rich…
Thanks for that info albeit neither my local VW dealership nor VW Customer Services could confirm. I will monitor the situation as the 1.2 TSi 5 door with the DSG auto ‘box is the only model that interests me as a potential purchaser.
Hi Derek
My source in the Volkswagen press office says that they’re ‘expecting the new 1.2 TSI to start production in the three-door model in early December, meaning the first cars will be in the UK in late January.
The engine will then follow in the five-door model around a month later, meaning a UK on-sale date in either late February or early March.’
Hope that helps.
Rich
